Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, motivated and reliable Dental Nurse, on a part time basis with the hours to be reviewed, to join our friendly dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their career within dental healthcare.

The successful candidate will assist dentists during procedures, provide patient care, and support the smooth running of the practice. Training will be provided for those aspiring to become fully qualified Dental Nurses. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced nurses and trainees eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Providing excellent patient care, including explaining procedures and post-treatment advice
  • Managing patient records accurately using IT systems
  • Supporting infection control protocols and maintaining a clean clinical environment
  • Communicating effectively with patients, staff, and external professionals
  • Organising appointments and managing patient flow efficiently
  • Ensuring compliance with all practice policies and procedures

Experience

  • Prior experience in patient care or nursing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for trainees
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Basic IT skills for managing digital records and appointment systems
  • Strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members
  • Organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively and maintain a tidy clinical environment
  • A genuine interest in nursing or healthcare is necessary.

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
